Update:
March 5,
2004: Glen David Miller: The very short biography.
Welcome
to Glen David Miller's web home featuring the writing,
design and artistic images of the award-winning artist
and filmmaker.
In September 1994, Glen moved to Los Angeles and became one of 20 artists chosen
to work for Steven Spielberg's Amblin Imaging, a company that helped define
the use of computer graphics in television and film beginning with seaQuest
and Star Trek.
Two years later, Glen and 5 other artists were asked by Scott Ross to join
the world-class visual effects company, Digital Domain. The group became known
as the NT division. They created work for 4 Clio Award winning national advertisements
and became the digital ship team for Jim Cameron's Oscar winning film, Titanic.
During 1998, Glen became a partner of Station X Studios. The X team created
state-of-the-art visuals for film before moving on to co-produce several motion
pictures. Glen also assisted the Station X Software team in the development
and flow of the in-house and now commercial animation package code named Project:messiah.
Glen lives in Texas and continues to freelance his services to production companies
world-wide. When he's not animating or modeling, he writes, cooks, paints and
has even taught art and animation classes from time to time. During the summer
of 2004, Glen will return to the West Coast for a several year stay in San
Francisco, where he will continue his professional efforts in film while studying
with other masters of the arts in the area. This means you should keep checking
the art gallery link as new pieces will be added on a regular basis.
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your stay!
